Where'd you order from? Best I can find is $315 online

I figure for now I will probably get one from FCP while replacements are still available.

                What's the warranty on a dealer-sourced pump?

It's 2 years on most parts from BMW, at least it is in Europe.

The cost of the pump has actually reduced over time. I remember they were £400 around 14 years ago and they are around £260 now.

Thanks. This is what I recall, but wasn't sure if it had adjusted.

Saleri is junk! Mine started to go out after only a few thousand miles. I just received a bmw pump to install. The way I see it now: the plastic impeller is supposed to flow better, it is lighter and it is better balanced. This also means less rotational mass, bearing will last much longer. Less mass, just like lighter pistons and lighter flywheel = more performance.

Because you like living life on the edge.

Usually cavitation is what destroys centrifugal pumps in industrial uses. Rarely does an impeller or end plate go bad. The shaft seal is what normally goes first.
