I didn't doubt this outcome like I acknowledged before but look at the where your seeing the largest differences in power. Towards, what i can only assume, at the end of the revs at 120+ mph. Neither of which i'm personally in/at on the street. I'm still in the camp of on the street, in normal driving scenarios, that difference is still not very noticeable. If i'm reading this totally wrong then I stand corrected.

Maybe stock really is the way to go though if retaining the power is the main focus.

Rogue might have provided an idea why with their Trak exhaust.

I should have changed the speed from MPH to RPM, top of the graph is roughly 8250 rpm. At 8100 the delta from BMW to scorpion is 19whp. At 4450 the difference is 11whp. When comparing data like this its really best to look at the average also referred to as the "area under the curve." At 4450 the difference is nearly 5%, most people aren't going to notice that. But if you are starting from scratch having this information might sway your decision.

No answer to that, but the factory exhaust from header to tail pipe had proper development - http://www.unofficialbmw.com/images/...ust_System.pdf

Is it not as simple as the DME having been tuned for a specific back-pressure, and when you change that by removing the muffler the tune is no longer aligned with the physical behavior of the system?

So now I'm curious. I have a Meisterschaft muffler on mine and rarely see it mentioned. Pretty similar looking design to some of the popular competitors. Anyone have any experience or commentary on it? I like how it sounds but don't have much for first hand comparisons. Rest of my exhaust is stock but I have the euro header & sec1 waiting to be installed.

You can be the first one, go to the dyno do 3 pulls warm as the car sits, come back tune the car with the new parts and see the delta. Do it for the people

I'm not sure of power gain or loss. I never got that far.

I needed a custom exhaust system for the E46 XiT conversion I was doing.
                      I chose SuperSprint.

Customer service WAS friendly and helpful during the purchase phase.
Then completely ghosted me when I had a fitment problem.

                      Don't get SuperSprint.
It may be pretty but they don't stand behind their work. Click image for larger version

What kit did you get? I assume it was for the wagon?

I tested their conversion kit a couple years ago. It was ok, nothing stellar compared to other options, but nothing bad either.

                          Good morning George!

Yes, it was for the wagon, a 2003 325 XiT.

I got the full system with the V1 headers and a custom section 1 to route around the transfer case. Also the catted X-pipes.

All of it has 63.5mm piping.

Unfortunately, it rests on the frame and produces a very loud vibration (as you can imagine).

I reached out to SuperSprint in February. I received one email asking what gearbox I used (ZF GS6-37BZ AWD 6 Speed Manual from a 2004 330 Xi).

Despite contacting them multiple times, I have received no further responses.

A nice looking exhaust in the box but a disappointing fit and no customer service.

Try using their IG which links to their Whatsapp number, there you should get a much quicker response just be mindful of the time difference.

                              Hi Cris!

Thanks very much for the suggestion! I appreciate you. It is a great idea.

Along those lines, I contacted them through Facebook Messenger on March 26th. Someone responded in under 30 minutes to say that Raffo (the nice man I had been corresponding with from customer service) was waiting to hear back from the technical department.

                              I haven't heard another word.

After your suggestion yesterday, I responded to our past Messenger text asking if Raffo was still waiting to hear from the technical department. That was 24 hours ago and still no response.

I will try Instagram. But I think might be the same.

                              Thanks again for your help!

Any chance of creating some clearance by squeezing the pipe in a press, similar to how SS clearances their E46 M3 single pipe section 2?
