Should I pay for the tune first on his website in order to get more consistent contact established? I stopped trying because I still had some of my project to complete, but am ready now.

I understand he’s busy, I assume he will paying customers.
Instagram is the way, it's how we communicated before/during/after the tune. I spent weeks asking questions prior to pulling the trigger and sending the payment so he's pretty good about alleviating any concerns and will give suggestions as well.

I only have an eventuri intake, karb OE airbox (non CSL), and supersprint sport exhaust. Is tuning worth it for me? What can I expect?

I'm about a year in with my HTE alpha n tune on Karb box with rebuilt injectors, fresh coils &plugs, etc. I planned this as a stop gap until I could procure an HP DME and go the map route but the tune and driveability is so good I have not felt the need. It works in any weather, never stumbles and pulls hard. Sure map may be better but for the few thousand miles a year I enjoy the car there's no need.

I think my complete interaction with Hassan lasted about 25 min from the time I paid and sent my flash file until it was returned and loaded.

I waited until i got a CSL airbox to get a tune and afterwards i felt maybe I should have got a tune sooner, the car just drives so much better, and part throttle mid range feels like there’s more torque, which is not where the airbox gains power, so it’s totally the tune that helped that. For the price of a tune it’s well worth it regardless of mods IMO.

I’m in CA so as much as I want the full CSL intake it’s just more work than I want to do esp when it comes to smog. I think I’ll prob just get the tune since it seems to be worth it.

Agreed with Ian. Hassan is very communicative on WhatsApp.

Been running an HTE tune since July 2020. My E46 M3 has been tracked, taken on road trips, and sent to redline more times than I can remember. Oil analysis is done with every annual change, too. No issues to date, and the motor still feels great. I also asked about knock sensors, etc., like Ian did, to ensure the reliability of the motor wasn't being compromised.
