    Source of reliable s54 injectors

I have done lots of googling on this. Has anyone on here found a reliable source of quality rebuilt injectors or a readily available plug and play replacement?

There are no plug an play injectors.

As the title says, I want to offer Injector Cleaning and Flow Testing to the forum members. I can do all top feed injectors but I have only worked on S54 injectors till now. I can perform injector leak down tests, spray pattern analysis, static and dynamic flow testing (can monitor injector flow across an RPM sweep). I will

There's a close match Bosch part number mentioned here that seems to be working out.

I still want to try the 0280156065s they really seem plug and play, the differences are too small to notice or tune for?

Yeah as I mentioned over there it's <2% difference so should be easily handled by fuel trims and shouldn't need any tuning at all. Many people drive around no problem with much larger fuel trim corrections than that. I'd even say they are probably close enough you won't even see the difference at all. Yes they do flow a tiny bit less but for stock application I'd certainly try them if I had a need for a replacement.

Only concern is the numbers are only at 3 bar rather than 5.

It's rather absurd that such a popular car/engine has the injectors go NLA while other injectors of the same family on lower volume cars are still in production.

I don't know what others you are referring to, but the S54 never was a high volume engine to a large supplier as Bosch. So it's normal that they stop making them available as soon as they're no longer contractually obligated by BMW. It's just not profitable to kickstart a fully automated line to produce a few parts for enthusiasts.

Yeah it sucks, but profit is the name of the game.

I think 996 Turbo injectors are still produced by Bosch. Much lower volume than S54 (21k turbos vs 80k S54)

Porsche also has the best classic department... Additionally, the same type ( but different pn) injectors are also used on some cayenne models, which are not out of the aftermarket contract period.

I need injectors for my S85, they are still available but stupid expensive, as in $2800, I dont want my engine to hydrolock, but damn.

Might have to seek an alternative, there are some but I dont know that any are 100% even with tuning, maybe E9x injectors.
