Oil Level Sensor Options?

Bought mine (Hella) for $40 in July 2024.

Paid $44 in Sept 2016. Seems like prices held steady for a while.

It seems like these things vaporized since I started this post. I lost out on one with eBay last week for only $45, then Autozone for $78, but yesterday I was able to buy one from eBay for $88. I can't wait to see their price in 10 years...

These sensors can last 150k+ miles and 20 years. When it comes time to replace it, it should be good for a while.

Since it is such an easy part to access and replace, I'd go with a good used one or aftermarket as a second option.
