It seems like these things vaporized since I started this post. I lost out on one with eBay last week for only $45, then Autozone for $78, but yesterday I was able to buy one from eBay for $88. I can't wait to see their price in 10 years...

These sensors can last 150k+ miles and 20 years. When it comes time to replace it, it should be good for a while.

Since it is such an easy part to access and replace, I'd go with a good used one or aftermarket as a second option.

          Hella catalogue doesn't list M3 as a fit for the 6PR 007 868-031

Does anyone know if the eBay 1s floating here in Australia are legit ?

I raise the question because on another thread here, Member from Germany said to look out for fake's, does anyone know how to spot a fake ?

I would consider Sparesbox a trusted seller but as always you'd want to be wary as they could be victims of counterfeits too.

Cheaper here and I'd trust these guys too:

Edit: my second link showed compatibility, but doesn't now. I must have copied it wrong or something.

Edit 2: BMW ones all appear to be marked 6PR 007 868-02. Seems interchangeable though.

At these prices might just take my chances with a Uro when I need one, tempting to just buy a Hella from FCP but damn.

Between my M3 and E63 M6 its getting silly buying parts on their way out, SO much money being spent, in some cases on parts I may never even need.
