That'a not correct. Hagerty agreed value policy will pay out what you agreed to, and will let you have the car under "cherished salvage" clause for free.

Exactly what happened to me but with a M2CS, now a F81 M3 Touring was made.

This is how I bought my salvage e46 over a decade ago. Then rebuilt it a second time after even worse damage to the driver side apron. Do I have any regrets? No, especially as a then-teenager who couldn't otherwise afford a clean example of a car like this. Have I had any issues with structural integrity or insurance or registration? No, just very slight imperfection with the hood/fender gaps that doesn't bother me enough to correct it. But would I do it again? No. I'd sell/keep for parts and buy myself an un-compromised car.

I appreciate all the responses. I’ll be making a part out post this weekend most likely. Time for a fresh start

Yea but if it comes w/ salvage title not sure how much value you're going to retain.

Yeah if I were going to repair it the only value in it at that point would be for myself

                Just wait 20 years...lol

Now that I think about it...can you even get aftermarket body panels for an M3? I highly doubt it.
