Downside to driving without a strut brace ?

I damaged my strut brace when I was putting on new struts and shocks (Koni yellow sports) after I installed everything and dove the car I actually loved the way it drove without the brace. I know I’ll get a lot of hate for this but it definitely gives a smoother ride - any downsides to driving without it permanently ?

Well mine didn't come with one from the factory so there's that 😁

You sure you're not confusing the Koni ride improvement with the strut brace removal?

Mine is an early model that came without the brace. It is 10 years ago, but I remember when I added the strut brace it made the front axle much better in response. I didn't add anything else at the time.
I don't think there's any upsides to run without a strut brace...

I see this (eg 1, eg 2) on early M3s that weren't fitted with the strut brace.

I mean you can drive without but your seam sealer will start ripping and the strut towers might move. Especially when under load (in corners)

Put it back on and see if it's even better with your new dampers plus the brace.

                      😫

Looks i will be moving the off road package plates / strut bar to the top of the shopping list
