Saw these on eBay. Looks very interesting. I think it welds to a relatively weak part of the chassis. Wonder if there is a bigger stiffness increase when adding a strut bar that ties into firewall.

I think you'll see a lot more gains from tying the A pillar to the structure under the fender. See Bry5on's work here: https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/m...543#post308543
But these definitely won't hurt. E86 has a small gusset to the fender rails from the factory in addition to the triangulation braces to the firewall.2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - SSV1 - HJS - Mullet Tune - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal

Oh wow...I missed that! That has long been a concern for me. I remember an HPF car has that area collapse so they ran the cage through that area.Originally posted by heinzboehmer View PostI think you'll see a lot more gains from tying the A pillar to the structure under the fender. That bracket is more what I'm looking for. I can make a carbon part and then bond it on.
