Those are Swamp Thing and The Clapper!

The sedan is Jimmy Roy’s car- he’s one of my favorite clients of all time. He came and spent a week with us in November and was a riot! At one point he started razzing Peter and by the time he was done I was in tears from laughter.

In the video above, he had our original HO S62 design from years ago, but we have refined the process and our product line has increased, so his car is with us now for a no stone unturned type of build /and/ a new HO S62 build as they are landing around 475 wheel horsepower now instead of 500 brake.

The Wagon is John’s car- he’s has two nearly identical E39 wagons, The clapper, as seen in the video has significant rust from its Wisconsin life, and the other is immaculate, but still has the original drivetrain. His plan is to get The Clapper running perfectly, then swap everything from The Clapper to the other chassis so as to minimize it’s downtime, because it’s his favorite car. John has been fighting drivability issues for years now, and finally sent The Clapper to us so that we could sort it. Very quickly we found some DME hardware related issues, and are now getting him sorted.

Sounds amazing! My dream spec e46 m3 would be Partee s62 swapped.

I know the build prices are high; parts are expensive- they make up the vast majority of the cost, and quality work takes a lot of time. The crank and rods alone for the S54 Stroker are nearly $11,000. There are other cheaper crank and rod options, but they are not as good as Arrow Precision. Then Schrick cams, their followers, which MUST be used with their cams, and valve springs/retainers are another $8700. Nearly $19,000 in parts right off the top. That doesn't include the cost of the timing kit, all the gaskets, seals, bearings, labor, or even the custom Partee spec extreme tolerance pistons. We do not build a ton of profit into our engine builds; we exclusively use the best parts you can buy, and they add up FAST.

That Club build doesn't even include the dry sump setup, but a boy can dream.

As I said above, part prices are through the roof. Our cost for the Daily pump and oil pan setup is approximately $9000. The good news is that we have club-race motors that have been in race cars since 2017, getting their teeth kicked in by their drivers weekend after weekend without ever having an issue. It is a robust and potent engine.
