The black carpet helps a ton. I have a different period car in Brilliant Silver over Grey, and black accents there (mats, center console) have helped a ton.

For that car, similar to this one, we like them for their classic, understated lines. That's even more classic in Silver paint (IMO). To add a slab of very little but Grey color to that all over the interior just creates a "blah" that doesn't go over well. On the other hand, with a different color exterior paint (and carpet or mats) I think Grey is just fine.

          This addresses the problem.

If the grey was two tone, like imola/cin, it wouldn't get the hate. It's the endless monotonous expanse of grey that makes it so awful.

That looks pretty good, just needs a black dashboard. You can rattle can the dash black. I'll have to find what I used but it is a perfect OEM match. Still need to remove the dashboard which isn't too bad.

I think piano black trim would be a great way to add more contrast.

I purchased a complete black interior including a black dashboard to do the swap. I contemplated installing the black dashboard but I prefer the grey.

As for the trim, I think CF is the answer because it hits both black and grey tones.

I am sending the door armrests to TexaZ3 to have the lower parts painted black. The ones in the car now are just temporary and in rough shape.
