Not trying to be nosey, but here I go.

Are you coming down for an event? I'm about 2 hours to the tip of the Smokies. The roads there are a good as everyone says they are.

Headed down early July. Have not looked at event schedule in area during that time frame. Probably seek to avoid most of the rowdy center lane crossing antics that 20 years ago I would of found irresistible.

Mine got the parts for a manual conversion. I bought an Auto Solutions AX SSK for it almost 2 years ago and the conversion is finally happening. Hoping to do this as reversibly as possible in case there’s ever a reason I want to refurb the SMG and run it again (it grew on me). For now I’ll enjoy finally having a manual car again and the increased summer reliability.

While it feels like it's been one endless Christmas since getting my E46 this summer . . .. .. weighted broomstick in my stocking!

Cool find! Probably worth just having it...hang it on the wall or something.

Hey, who did you use in your prior engine builds?

I am looking at rebuild/refresh on my 3.4 stroker motor in the future and was looking at Partee. They seem to be the go-to here on the east coast. I spoke to Peter a few months ago and apparently Dinan's old engine guy, which has years of experience building Dinan engines, is there at Partee Racing. He went over to Partee after Dinan sold to PE. The only other BMW engine builder would be CarBahn that seems to have a good reputation.

                        Where did you find that?

Can I ask what that OEM CSL roof set you back?

I was looking at Partee racing and thinking I may go that way if I blow up my S54, but honestly for that price I think I'd rather just put an S65 in it.
Damn, I wish an s65 swap was feasible but I think at the end of the day, a built 3.4/3.5 Partee motor will end up being cheaper than a s65 swap into an e46 m3.

I am surprised that there are no companies offering a clear cut off-the-shelf s65 swap kit for e46 m3. We all know it's been done before and will work. It is a matter of having the process documented and ready made parts for the swap. It would be an amazing platform if it could be done.

I think I can get an S65 motor into an E46 for under 30 grand, but I have a good relationship with a shop. They've never done it before, but I have faith.

Put out a feeler add and almost got my M3 a new owner . Got a very fair offer but decided I couldn't part with the car.

I got the sunbeam muffler and a special ordered set of Karbonious CSL CF interior. Muffler arrived a couple weeks before Christmas, and my interior should be arriving within a week or so. The special ordered set was to retain the rear speakers. Will be doing PPF on the door cards & center console before they get installed.
