EGT Sensor is it used in any fueling calculations?

I know the EGT Sensor is primarily used for protecting the cats.

However before completely removing it, like most.

Just curious/verifying if anyone knows if it is still being thrown into the mix for calculating/adjusting any other fueling besides for just protecting the cats or being used for any form of engine protection.

It looks like I already have K_TABG_CFG to 1, not sure if that tells it to reference only modeled EGT values or just disables monitoring entirely.

K_TABG_CFG tells the DME whether to use the actual TABG sensor value or an ersatz (replacement) value. If using the actual value it also runs TABG through a PT1 low pass filter.

Not sure whether you're running CSL airbox and 0401 software but if you are then TABG is also used to determine rf_korr which is used in the fuelling path. If you're running standard M3 airbox then I *think* that you're correct that it's just used for cat protection etc.

Yes I am using standard airbox and MAF software. I will leave it in there, as I am unsure still if I will go to the CSL airbox. Sounds like it is needed for that

I need to view your code for the disassembly work you have done, Thank you for replying!
