    Bimmerworld Engine Mounts

Reaching out to those have used Bimmerworld engine mounts.

Had them fitted to my E46 about 500miles ago, at idle the car vibrates like shiatsu massaging chair on max power.

Didn’t have this issue with Revshift poly street mounts, please tell me the NVH on Bimmerworld ones gets better over time?

I have the Bimmerworld Group N mounts in one of my cars.

There is is increased NVH but not that bad.

If I put my phone on the dash it will eventually rattled off but not immediately.

You might need to tighten some other bushes around these mounts but they're not going to be soft like OE.

I’ve got revshift street poly transmission mounts too. I had both their tranny and engine mounts together at one time, and after 1000miles, the NVH was fine even my missus was unaware I had poly mounts.

I am hoping someone can confirm Bimmerworld do get softer over time cos despite being rubber they are way harsher than poly!

Did you do poly trans mounts at the same time?

I had the same experience on my e36 M3. Removed the trans mounts but kept the engine mounts, and the vibration disappeared.

034 Motorsport Engine mounts and RE trans mounts and no idle rattles at all.

            Yes.

But you saying this, got me thinking.. I’ve had both Revshift’s street tranny and engines together and they were ok and fine.

Wonder if rubber engine mounts and poly tranny mounts are not a good street combo..

What did you replace your tranny mounts with?

I have the Morehead Speed Works engine mounts with the race spec rubber insert on two cars. The design makes sense, and works well. I use this mount setup to keep things steady for a body mounted shifter. (Kinematic Speed).

Honestly, I didn’t notice an increase in noise from this setup in comparison to OEM. In contrast to that, aftermarket front diff bushings drove me insane.

RE trans mounts are solid rubber?

I put stock mounts back on that car, and it was like the angels sang the first time I started the car and it didn't vibrate my eyeballs out of my head.

The poly mounts are all different durometers. Have you compared the durometers of the BW mounts and the Revshift stuff?

yep, just installed them and NVH increase is more than substantial… would not recommend

I had them in my LSB and I hated them. I have BMW Gruppe N motor mounts in my Imola and they less NVH than the bimmerworld ones, but still noticeable over stock.

I have them, my car came with a set. I don’t hate them but I never knew the car without them. I’ll probably go to OEM when they’re worn out.

In my car (Bimmerworld Grp N mounts with RE transmission mounts), I found increasing revs to 1000 or 1100 rpm while idling helped with vibration.

Same combination and same experience, enough vibrations at initial start-up to let you know they aren't OE. When driving I don't notice it at all, occasional slight vibration at lights.

definitely wouldn't describe it as, "a shiatsu massaging chair" lol
