Oh, I do have a nice (albeit, old) side by side of the Z4M seats vs standards. Had the Z seats reupholstered with Impuls Cloth to keep the spec correct. They are much better than the OG sofas.

Any chance you took measurements of exactly how much lower the Z4M seats are vs the stock ones at the lowest setting? I'm still chasing a lower seat height and trying to map options! In recaro sportsters now.

My guess is that the Sportsters are probably as low as the Z4Ms.

However, when I got my seats, the seat bottom (base) cushion was busted through. The result was a significantly lower seating position. I later added the wire frame support to the underside of the seat, which restored a stock-like seating position. Still lower than the oe seats, but again, probably what you have now.

Z4M seats with a broken out bottom cushion might be what you’re after. Unorthodox, but much much lower.

Dude, so garbage. Great minds, indeed. The Z4M is the minimum acceptable oe seat, imo. The fact that it’s plug and play power (so my pup can easily hop in the back) with heat made the swap a no brainer.

It’s been a while, but I think the upholstery shop moved over the occupancy sensor. That or I coded the passenger airbag to always on. Either way, there’s no airbag light on my dash. I don’t dig error lights.
