Drifters have gone through this with all their angle stuff. Typically modifying the knuckle and using the most stock components is ideal, and will not leave you with something breaking.

As most things with cars, the stock stuff was tested in every condition and they could not break unless it was in an accident for liability reasons and reputations. There's a lot more to this like fatigue cycles, impact loading, and where the forces go. Not to mention metallurgy, it is a pretty complex thing to engineer

Thats cool the strom one uses bolt in wheel bearings.

There's a reason a certain M3 doesn't use aftermarket control arms and roll center kits...

Generally we've found the further you get away from stock components the shorter the life span and on a tie rod or control arm bolt the moment of failure can be instantly catastrophic.

Do the control arms suffer the same bending force as the tie rod?

I think the tubular arms can be a massive performance upgrade. I am considering the MRT kit knowing it will need to be replaced periodically.

I would imagine so, the AKG arms use a hardened through bolt that you can replace regularly. The VAC design uses a soft cnc'ed stud that could break. I have heard of Bimmerworld failures, but to be fair Feffman has also had an OEM failure. I think the key is replacing regularly no matter what kit you get.
