Has anyone tried feeding brake duct hoses through the lower center grill?

I have a CSL Bumper and (stupidly) sold my OEM bumper after I installed. Looking for some brake cooling options besides buying a new one. Anyone have input on trying this?

Just in case- where are people sourcing new Euro bumpers nowadays in the US?

There are 2 main ways to achieve brake cooling on the CSL bumper... you can either go through the lower grill like you are suggesting which is actually pretty common for E39 M5 guys (see link with photo example https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...m-brake-ducts/) or you can pickup air from under the car using NACA ducts to go to the brake backing plates (see link for discussion on this over at CSLRegister http://www.cslregister.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15209). Both have custom and vary levels of off-the shelf options.

Wow the lower grill with holes looks pretty damned cool actually. I think this is the route I’m gonna go, will have to DIY the holes though, don’t think I’ve ever seen a lower grill with pre-cut holes like this for our cars. Thanks man!

Yer I didnt have time to dig too much further for you and its potentially lost to the ether of the original forum but there is a few guys that went through the process of adapting this style of mod to the E46 M3 to give brake cooling to the CSL bumper by using an OEM inspired style (ie stealing the E39 M5 method)... so there is photos and work done on adapting the E39 M5 style of brake cooling to the CSL bumper somewhere on the internet...

I ran into the same problem when adding a CSL bumper. Decided to make some carbon bits which rivet into the stock air guide.

NOTE: its sometimes referred to as the "sink drain" brake cooling duct mod... especially in E39 M5 circles so googling that may help yield some further information on how to DIY it...
