Most comfortable street ONLY suspension setup?

    Hey guys,

I am going to be making a change to my suspension (currently on Ohlins, which will be sold—fyi) and would appreciate your input.

I was wondering if there was a consensus on the best street only setup in terms of comfort. While I would like to fine tune my ride height and have a planted, capable ride, ride comfort is most important.

The car will not see the track (no, not ever). It doesn’t really see any canyons/backroads anymore. That said, I do want something that reduces body roll and performs modestly, without any compromises on comfort.

At present, I am considering the following (in order of likelihood):

    1. TCK DA (uncertain on spring rates, but think TC suggests 400/500; I will defer to your input + TC in the end)

    2. Koni / Dinan (not ride height adjustable, but does seem tried and true for modest lowering and comfort)

    3. KW Clubsports (strange, but these have been recommended by multiple people for comfort; I’m dubious)

Also of note, I can’t go back to stock suspension. Way too floaty and lacking in composure. Koni / Dinan has to be better than stock.

To put it bluntly, this is mission critical. If I can’t achieve a comfortable ride, I will sell the car. Or put it on ultra low mileage duty until selling makes sense.

    Many thanks in advance.

I have KW clubsport 3 way and I'm 100% street driven. Let's just say, it's very very firm. Passengers aren't really a fan of the ride. Even on full soft. I don't recommend if you're looking for comfort.

TCK is not firm, I’m old so mine are set to at/about stock height and I played with rebound a bit to get it just right. It is a very comfortable, not bouncy ride. Springs are I believe 450/550. For a while I had the suspension low and wanted stiffer springs, I ended up just raising it back up and I am happier about it. If you call TCK, and tell them what you want to do with your car, they will both recommend a suspension and spring rates. Highly recommend.

Thank you very much. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and this confirms it. Clubsport = racecar.

Thank you! This is where I was leaning and your feedback is super helpful. I was planning to call TC on Monday. Now I’m calling him on Monday morning.

We sound similarly situated. I would love to know your ride height and damper settings. Thanks again the guidance.

I waffled back and forth between these two options last fall/winter. I went with Ohlins and they're wonderful on the street. Granted, my previous suspension was old rusted out H&R/Koni from the previous owner but this setup is so so much more comfortable and capable on the street.

                    I’ll measure it later tonight.

If you have any photos of your LSB at or near stock height on the DAs, that would be appreciated as well.

This can’t be the only answer. But if it is, I’ll leave the Ohlins on it and list it for sale. C’est la vie.

this is the before, when it was low. I’ll update with current height later tonight.
