Febi is OE for the guibo. Not sure about the CSB, although FCP says Rein is OE for this part.2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - Kassel MAP - SSV1 - HJS - PCS Tune - Beisan - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal

Also this is what FCP has to say about SGF vs Febi:
Febi repackages an OEM SGF Guibo. Normally SGF parts are only available in Genuine BMW. ordering this joint from Febi is like ordering a Genuine unit.2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - Kassel MAP - SSV1 - HJS - PCS Tune - Beisan - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal

And yes Rein (last I checked) makes the CSB for BMW.
OP buy your parts from FCP Euro, you’ll get their Lifetime Warranty on all your parts. And guibos do wear out.

FCP also has a great policy where if you bought OEM brand A and you end up being unsatisfied with it you can exchange it with full value towards any other brand of the same part including OE BMW. So, for example, you could buy a Febi guibo, run it for a while and if it doesn't hold up, trade it in + price diff for an OE BMW. So there isn't any financial risk in trying to save money with by going with OEM over OE if you're doing your own work.Last edited by ATB88; 06-25-2020, 05:37 PM.

While we are on the FCP train I will say their warranty service went further than expected. My friend bought a Sachs clutch for his car from FCP. A year later a rod went through his block and he needed a new engine. They were back ordered with no ETA on Sachs clutches. He explained the situation to them and they said they would absolutely honor a LUK clutch as well. And if that too was sold out they’d let us get a BMW. Every single experience I have had with them is truly phenomenal. I seriously couldn’t recommend them more.
im curious to know how the hell they make money or how they stay in business. Or what they do with the old parts they receive.

Looks like the general consensus is that Febi is the OE part for the flex disc/giubo. Since it is recommended to replace the CSB, is it recommended to replace the shaft support and the CSB?

Febi/Bilstein is not OES for the flex disk, SGF is, but the Febi part isn't even Febi, it is an SGF so you're good. The Meyle HD one is good too. Not OE, but it holds up.
If you buy the whole CSB housing/support, you don't need to buy the CSb separately.DD: /// 2011.5 Jerez/bamboo E90 M3 · DCT · Slicktop · Instagram

Im convinced it doesnt matter anymore. Go FCP and when you have to replace it, at least its a free replacement. I know we all want oem, myself included, but if a guibo goes 30k instead of 40k, its kind of whatever. Its just more maintenance. Honestly, the rod bearings are a time change item. Its part of the game you might say. Get the part at the best price, drive it to death, replace and repeat
To be clear, i know this doesnt apply to good struts vs cheap struts, but oem vs oe bushings, i think youre safe

SGF is the manufacturer of the flex disc for BMW.
Some companies may buy from them (at different times) and place in their boxes but it needs to have SGF stamped on it to be certain.6MT SLICKTOP - OE CSL Wheels - OE CSL Brakes - CSL Rack - CSL Trunk - CSL Diffuser - AA Tune - AA Pulleys- AS 40% SSK - 4.10 Motorsport Diff - Bilstein PSS9s - H&R Swaybars - CSL Lip - Gruppe M CF Intake - Supersprint - M Track Mode
