I believe that the help desk is in China (or Hong Kong), as there seems to be a language barrier and I am still none the wiser, as despite several emails back and forth, it is still unclear if I can have all these options together (even with the hub) or whether I will have to chop and change like you?

Had it been highlighted that my options specified would require the hub, I would have ordered it with the head-unit. Their response is that it is "unusual" to need this, so it does not tell you at the time of ordering.

I love the AVIN4 I installed with the PX6, DSP, wireless CarPlay, and iBus. I recommend getting the DSP chip set. My car had stock HK system before, and I tested playing CDs of some of my favorite songs on the original HU and compared those songs post-install. It sounds like a different system - so much better now. If you care about sound quality, I recommend plugging your phone with a physical wire for the CarPlay. Wireless doesn't sound that good, but it's nice to have that capability. Install was pretty straight forward. I'm very happy with my purchase.Big Booty Betty - '02 E46 M3 Coupe

Reading the experiences here is getting me really excited but I'm curious to find out more. Has anyone paired this head unit with after market amps? Appreciate if you can share your feedback. Do you get clean sound (i.e no noise, whine or static)?
I struggled to eliminate these noises in another car with a Joying Android radio. I resign to the fact that clarity isn't what these units are designed for but I'm hoping I can find out more 1st hand info and manage my expectations better from this group.

I got a fully loaded one, definitely recommend iBus, Carplay, Upgraded DSP, tire pressure sensors. 👍
For the iBus did you have to splice into any wires/wiring harnesses?

Wow it sounds like the Avant 4 is a lot less glitchy than what people were saying about the 3. Plus, the idea of wireless carplay makes it super compelling. I have a wireless carplay unit on a different car and the convenience is really pretty hard to lose once you're used to it.01 M5 Dinan S-2 ish

The iBus integration is plug and play, there is an extra plug added the to provided harness by avant, just add the ibus to that plug (they cover this in detail in the ibus website wiki) - The iBus integration works very well and its a must, it displays sensory data much needed for the overall heath of the vehicle/engine - I code my car so im not that impressed by its additional features that allow you to code the car on the fly, but its nice to have, avoids having to launch NCSEx.
If i where to do it again i would go without the carplay and add the TPMS module.
Hope this helps

I have the Avant 4 in my car and love it. The Bluetooth works great and so does the apple car play. Only issue I having is I just recently took my car in for service and my mechanic is telling me he can no longer scan my car with any of his machines. I have done anything else to the car except install this radio since my last service. Might be a coincidence but was wondering if anyone else has had an issue like mine?
