How much head space will a bucket seat give

Want to auto x but can't fit into my cart with a helmet and the sun roof. So either delete the sun roof or get a bucket seat maybe.

Depends how you mount it and what seat it is.

The Brey Krause direct to floor (no slider) mounts will let you compress the carpet with your seat (for most bucket seats)— which is 6-7” lower than stock. Too low for most :P
(also can use them to mount the sway higher)

Agreed - I'm about 6'3" and with a direct-to-floor mount (Bimmerworld) and OMP WRC-R the seat is very low, almost too low. For comparison, OE setup with a Stilo ST5 helmet I am right up against the headliner (my car has a sunroof) and I do need to slouch a bit to accommodate curbs and such.

Yeah-- I'm 6'3.5" (6'4 in the morning, 6'3 in the evening) and used to have to recline the seat to fit with a helmet. If without a helmet, my head would touch the roof if I woke up and immediately got in the car.

Now that I'm no sunroof and bucket seat (Cobra Nogaro on OE sliders using Brey Krause slider mounts), I have ~1 fist between my head and the ceiling and ~2" between my helmet and the ceiling.

I have a carbon roof and with factory seats I have a lot of room (I’m 5’10). Never measured but 4” of space is a safe bet.

Just installed recaro sportsters and will do a measurement for you (wedge mounts and recaro sliders).

^sporsters are bottom mount, so not a good option if you're trying to get as low as possible.

I have Nogaros and had oe slicktop installed and at 6'0 I finally have tons of room with helmet. I would imagine the seats alone would suffice.

Good to know. I'm about this height. Maybe I'll just rock a less than ideal seating position for a bit

Profi XLs with BK mounts...I'm only 5'8" and not too low for me...
+ sunroof delete...got headroom for days lol.
