I had my RACP taken out, replaced with a brand new OEM unit, reinforced with redish plates, mason X brace welded onto the shock tower and vince front gussets.... your shop would have quoted me 30 grand

Why did you replace the entire RACP? How bad was it?

I had the standard cracks at the mounts. but my bigger problem was floor separation around the wheel wells and cracks in the area of RTABs. I could have welded them all up and call it a day but i decided to spend more and start with a fresh panel without metal fatigue or existing cracks and bullet proof the rear end. shop welded the RACP in 3-4x as many places as the factory spot welds

Yikes. Picture of the floor cracks? at what mileage?

I did the reinforcement at around ~110k, I had two hairline cracks on the rear mounts. Floor looked fine, but I still did a top and bottom reinforcement.

How much did the RACP replacement cost?

Hey, I see you are in TN. I am in middle TN and looking for a shop that knows what they are doing and reasonably priced for subframe reinforcement. Mind telling me who you used and cost? (Can message me if preferred). Thanks.

Yikes. That's awful. The customer should never be "surprised" by the bill. He/she should have communicated with you far earlier. I paid a metal fabricator guy that was recommended to me by a bmw mechanic friend about $800, he came to my house with his welder/supplies in the back of his truck and did all the work in my garage for me.
