A lot weird things haha. I ordered mine from Hard and it shipped directly from S2R after a few months wait, and they're not listed on his site.

ON BW's site the picture looks like the S2R piece, but what he got in the video does not. The video piece is all CF like the AJH one. Here's my S2R from February 2020:

The S2R Tuning panel is 100% not the same as Bimmerworld.

        There you go haha.

Run a bead of black RTV around the base of the part that plugs the whole and stick it up there. I waited 24 hours and then took it through one of those laser wash car washes and watched for leaks before I put my brand new non-sunroof headlienr in. Figured if it was every going to leak that would expose it. Wouldn't worry about UV because as you can see it fits tight and the real sealing comes from the bead being on the base and the sunroof hole metal edge pressing down into the bead...not filling the gap.

Solid plan! I spoke with Alex and he's informed me their panels are marine grade coated and will never fade or yellow. They won't spider crack either, I'm told, but I'm not about to test that. He also suggested sticking a washer between the bolt and panel to better distribute the forces.

S2R fit looks perfect. Is it a fiberglass body with CF top?

Wow that S2R fiberglass panel is really tempting. Same weight as the CF version, comes primed so I can paint it to match my car, and $270. Assuming the fit is the same as the CF version (I don't see why it wouldn't be), it might be enough to hold me over for a while before I get a CF roof.

                The S2R is carbon fiber

The exposed top panel is CF but the rest of the panel looks a lot like Fiberglass to me. It's also the exact same weight as the full fiberglass version.

The problem with the s2r is the hideous thick black border. If its not painted is sticks out like a sore thumb.

3.5 lbs? It's not fiberglass. You're looking at a painted coating.

Could probably peel it off. It's just paint over a marine grade gel coating. Of course, I wouldn't try it on my own.

I have the FG S2R panel. They also make a CF panel.

I got the FG panel because I didn’t want any exposed CF. It fit fine although the flange could be a little bigger and some of the bolt holes didn’t exactly line up.

                            But overall happy with it.

I actually like that about it. Looks like the sunroof glass from 3 feet away.

Personally, I'd rather color match for the slick top look but not a fan of the e30 sunroof look since it'd have the seam...not gonna bondo it lol. So until I pull the trigger and paint a full CF roof this works haha.

I have the S2R and I would say the fit is a 9/10, no complaints here. I used a bead of black silicone on the top and 3M windo-weld to secure it in place. No leaks and that thing is not moving.

I e-mailed them and they had one in stock and it was shipped promptly.
