Have been reading reviews and seeing photos of extremely poor quality control in the Supersprint product. This has been for a good while now. In all honesty, it’s turned me away from the brand and the consideration to run their headers. A few days ago, I noticed a post from Supersprint which I saw as something promising. Its appears they’ve maybe identified the lack of quality control, and changed up some fabricating partnerships. From the few photos I saw on their FB page, the headers all looked TIG welded, and of good quality.
Lets call this a step in the right direction, and certainly hopeful for such an iconic brand. Especially among the E46 community! I remember on one of the big Supersprint headers thread, there was an employee of supersprint who would chime in on the information side, not the organizing of group buys side.
My question (s) to anyone in the ‘know;’ Once these enter mass production, how do we differentiate between the new fabbed sets and old leftover junk (other then the obvious looking @ quality of welds), which by that point is too late because you’ve purchased. Given the age of the platform, in relative terms, not sure how many owners are going to spend the big $$ bucks Supersprint calls for. That said, if this thread does gain traction, and the above questions are clarified, could be a perfect GB opportunity. Even if not, glad to see Supersprint openly announcing this partnership and restoring the quality its brand is known for.
