    This is not common enough to say it's a design issue. Could be the vorshlag plate not having a large enough foot print combined with stiffer springs or something.

    In a dozen years, I've only seen this twice I think. or maybe this is the 3rd. Not like RACP or vanos tab failure.

      Yeah, Vorshlag plates, 500# springs + daily driving over lovely Los Angeles roads. The shop managed to flatten it out and weld it back together. The alternative was to replace the tower, but we gave this a shot first. She's a garage queen now so not subject to nearly as much trauma.

        Could be caused by...
        -Not enough bump travel
        -too little bump stop
        -camber plate design (Vorshlags are probably the worst common plate for this)
        -really stiff springs (500 isn't that stiff, but it is more than 3 times stiffer than stock)
        -really fucking huge pot holes

          LA roads have pot holes the size of dinosaurs, so all of that tracks
