Feel like I'm an expert at this after taking them on and off a million times over the years 馃槀.. Couple tips:- Fully remove the allen bolts and wedge the split joint open with a screwdriver
- Hit the joint with some heat and penetrating oil
- Break them loose by rotating them up and down first
- Once rotating, pull them out while rotating to get them off
- When you re-install use some anti-seeze

Just some penetrate and wiggle/rotate back and forth works.
Applying some anti-seize to the header pipe ends will help with removal next time too. I put anti-seize on the bolts too as they're not iconel or really high quality.Last edited by Tbonem3; 09-10-2020, 04:07 PM.DD: /// 2011.5 Jerez/bamboo E90 M3 路 DCT 路 Slicktop 路 Instagram

Last few comments reminded me of a friend who a long time ago used wd40 to "lube" his chain on his time trial bike. Nono.

All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.
PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.
