Is anyone running this setup? I am very tempted to go ahead with catless headers. I don't want a super loud exhaust as I've had a Gruppe M section 3 on my old M3. I just want the power and maybe a little more noise from the exhaust. It's insanely quiet now.

Starting from scratch, I'd just get an airbox and skip the exhaust altogether, lol. Also, maybe gut one or two chambers of the stock muffler and add some slightly larger tips.

I'm trying to figure out the effect on rasp if I replace a Status Gruppe resonated section 1 with a catted section 1 (no resonators).| 06 6 Speed Vert - JB on Cinnamon| Beisan | ACL Rod Bearings | ST Sway Bar | TMS CSL Box | Megan headers | H.T.E Tune | 550 Injectors | OEM Section 1, 2, 3| 200 Cell Cats | OEM SSK | Bilstein B12| 712 yellow tag |

An SGT section 2 resonated x-pipe just about totally elimated any rasp for me. You only hear it briefly around 2800 rpm and can easily drive around it. I put my system together on a budget and the setup is Fabspeed headers ($600 black friday, Fabspeed catted section 1 ($700 m3f member), SGT section 2 ($425) out to RE El Diablo ($700 m3f member). It's a wicked sound especially at high rpm but I wouldn't run it daily. I'll go with a much quieter section 3 when I do a CSL box.
