So I had an epiphany recently about that horrid squeak that rarely happens on start up. People have been curious about it.
It's the throw out bearing. It only does it for a few seconds and doesn't do it often enough to really heat up and start shredding. I'm not sure why this happens on our cars but I've read quite a few posts asking about it.
I recently dropped a transmission to do a clutch that was making the same exact sound. The trust bearing had grinded itself apart. It was the only failed component.
