Just read Jared's entire thread. Jeeeesus. Can't wait to see his old activity on M3F.Originally posted by liam821 View PostJared update. I asked chatgpt (no joke) "What was the kids name that owned an e46 m3, he used to post on m3forum before that site went away. I think he ended up buying a porsche 911 turbo. He was the laughing stock of the forum and it was hilarious. He posted on rennlist as well." and wouldn't you know it...

I tried to to recreate the old forum with Claude about 18 months ago referencing wayback machine archives. It got pretty far in creating an exact replica looks wise with all the archived forums and threads showing but only a handful would pull up. I gave up as the token count was racking up trying to fix it. But what worked was really cool.
With where the models are now I think you could use Claude code or codex to do it much easier now. Feed it everything you have and tell it to cross ref with wayback machine.

I'm probably going to import all old m3forum posts as "m3f_username" - and I can rename users/relink accounts on a per-user basis when asked. I'm nearing the end of my data validation and deduplication; I've recovered around a million posts. I'll probably have a first-round single-forum section import for the MODs here to review later tonight.Originally posted by 0-60motorsports View PostThank you! Yes please, would love my build thread.
