If someone is belittling, attacks people personally, or anything along those lines yeah they're being an asshole. But I don't think being blunt is that. At least not for me.

Haha now I really hope that Leatherique thread comes back. I do remember it, but I am super curious about Brett's posts.

I remember that one dude (braymond or whatever the f$$$ his name was) who got really upset about leatherique and our leather seats. Like a thirty page thread on why it was bad. I think he ran the other competing forum (mforum) when the old forum went under. Although in fairness, he did seem to know what he was doing, but he like many other early members were absolute assholes.

This forum, IMO, is much better. The members have matured along with the platform and whatever information was lost has mostly been restored. Also, the vast amounts of useless information aren't around to pollute the search results.

I can totally understand wanting some old build threads back.
Bring it all back. Let's see who gets cancelled!!! 🤣 I visited E46fanatics recently...holy shit I was a moron! 🤣

If the old M3Forum comes back this is proof that you can never delete anything once it is on the internet.

Brett (braymond) is a good dude though. Incredibly particular and OCD when it comes to this stuff, and as a result yes can be blunt and at times abrasive. He's got a doppelgänger in the e30 community named Jordan. The vast majority of people on forums in general don't have the slightest clue what they are talking about. People like Brett and Jordan don't sugar coat things, and ultimately are passionate enough about the details that they can't help themselves from simply not responding. Personalities like that just don't have any tolerance for even mediocrity. You can't blame them.

I think a lot of Brett's stuff was lost with M3F. But here are two examples of Jordan's builds. When we are talking this level of work, they can nitpick whatever the hell they want if you ask me. Leatherique really does suck, haha.

This one in particular, albeit not as cool as the one above, gives a rough idea on the very first post:
***Editors Note: This should come as no surprise. If you know Jordan and his builds you know this is a brand new car. No part of this car was left untouched and restored to As-New condition. Probably better than new in many spots actually. This was a no-brainer and was just a matter of waiting until it was ready. Well, its

I'm importing threads now; so far, it's going smoothly. I was able to recover ~1 million posts, although I'm going to skip the classifieds and a few other channels. It's not complete; some threads are missing pages or just completely gone.

Anyone who wants their old posts linked to their current nam3forum account can PM me personally. I wrote a little script to fix posts after the fact, and I can do it on a one-by-one basis.
