I'd guess 8.5" front and 10/10.5" rear. But knowing the wheel width is essential to picking what size tire.

haha thanks! Yeah, like r4dr said, you should figure out the rim width first. Once you get your car let us know.Originally posted by Cb3319 View PostThanks Liam(EXTREMELY envious of the Phoenix Yellow)...so I’ll be a newbie next week, 02 TiNa, convert, manual w 63K, and will be adding new rubber. So what tire size is your personal recommendation ?

Yes, Super Sports and Sport 4S are within a stone's throw of each other.Originally posted by Cb3319 View PostHi All...another burning question. The car I’m about to purchase has 285/30/19 Pilot Super Sports(new) on the rear. Am I okay putting 245/35/19 Pilot Sport 4S on the front?'03.5 M3 SMG Coupe - Jet Black / Black

I have 255/40 and they look square, no stretch. 255 is the max recommended width for an 8.5 wheel. Plenty of e82 people use 255/35 size with their rear OE wheels which are 8.5Originally posted by kokgo20 View PostAnyone running 255/35-18 0n 18 x 8.5?
What would the tire look on the wheel?

Great info Liam! I finally signed up for the new forum, great to see you (virtually). And I love my Goodyear Eagle f1's as well, but Michellin's are great.Originally posted by liam821 View Post
I think you'll find that the Michelin's are the best tire you can put on the e46m3, period. If you want more performance, get Cup 2s, but for the best all-around not going to drive in the snow Pilot Sport 4Ss can't really be beaten.

Have you tried this setup yet? I really want the 359m black wheels for my car. Id be less aggressive with the tire size though. 245/275 would be the biggest. I haven’t been able to get a straight answer as to whether or not they’d actually fit.Originally posted by nextelbuddy View PostAnyone know if I will have to roll the fenders with 359M wheels in this configuration? lowered on coilovers

I'm currently on 19x9 et28 with 245/35 and 19x9.5 et19 with 265/35 and on willtheyfit.com the only difference for the rear was the inset. I have zero rub.Originally posted by Rkymtnrider View Post

Yes I ran the 359 wheels. I ran 255/35 in the front and 285/30 in the back. It was a very flush setup It rubbed very little in the back but not much. The fronts I had to camber in a little bit.Originally posted by Rkymtnrider View Post
