This is not my car, but I was curious, Does anyone know this car? It allegedly has over 200k has been previously supercharged, according to one of the posters in the peanut gallery.

This car was traded through Georgia at one point. I also remember that there was a sketchy guy on the old M3forum that would flip E46 M3s based out of Georgia. Wonder if he had anything to do with this story.

This m3 has a super sketch back story... I mean... google the vin... clearly it has over 200k and was rolled back. The current seller mentioned the subframe to be good because his “dealer” inspected it......... the same dude also never googled his vin number lol

I remember this car coming up for sale on M3F years ago. It was local to me. It sold for 15k real quick, like within a day.

This was the ad more or less. BAT needs to take this listing down and it absolutely sucks for the additional owners on this car. Just goes to show, LSB is the most effed with color for this platform and it's a damn shame.

Big ouch.. from the comments the current seller was unaware of the mileage issue and "paid a premium", but never thought to Google the VIN. Wow.

I find it surprising the seller says that BAT has proposed he just lowers the reserve.. if that's true WTF is BAT thinking?

I’m not sure that bat has any clue or does any research what so ever. It’s about making money and ensuring the car sells. That’s it.

They definitely did at one point, but their volume has increased exponentially and I get the feeling that they're shorthanded. Especially with the launch of premium auctions.

I even made a comment on that auction stating the potential legal implications of selling this car with an advertised 72k miles. And it was my first comment ever so someone at BaT had to review it. If I practiced in NJ, I'd probably take this case just for fun. The most obvious giveaway to me is that the front air duct is all jacked up from the supercharger kit and the scrapes all over the shock tower. No car would have that much damage unless ALOT of (careless) work went on in that engine bay ie. the installation and removal of a supercharger. Whatever dealer that did that PPI for the current owner did a shite job
