also at least in this location taking a place where suspension component is allowed to move and then making it so it cant move in any direction is probably not the best idea. The bearing that allows articulation without flex makes more sense to me.
BMW TIS specifies using an FCAB press tool to remove/install the FCAB. The tolerances on the control arm bushing shaft can vary from each casting. On our last car i saw a variance of +/- 2mm on the new vs old control arms we installed. This variance would matter a ton on the delrin insert used in the TrackCAB.

Disagree with BW support to ask the end user to use a screwdriver in the chassis threads to force it on. If the dowels aren’t lining up then the FCAB is in the wrong position on the control arm and the correct tool is needed to complete the install.

    The correct tool:

CTA Tools 8920 Control Arm Bushing Kit - Compatible with BMW https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VX0SXSC/

Expensive no doubt, but I’ve rented/loaned this out to countless people by now. Each one has come back with how much easier the install is with it. I’ve also used it for random other projects.

      This is 100% true.

I used OEM control arms and FCAB which I pressed in by hand and the FCAB wouldnt line up with the holes at all. I used the tool and pushed the FCAB onto the CA another 2mm and the lolipop lined up with the car instantly. amazing how much of a difference that 2 mm makes.
