Got my UOA back. Not too surprised but still annoyed that copper/brass is present. What else besides rod bearings has copper/brass in it? Main bearings perhaps (i thought these are usually not a problem with our engines)? valve guides? It's been consistently present in my UOA and I've already done rod bearings. I'm thinking the camshafts and followers are adding to the iron."your BMW has how many miles!?"

Just over 200k miles on mine. It's up on the quickjack right now. Doing all new suspension, and bushings, including differential bushings. Brakes as well. Rod bearings too. I bought the car with 137k on it. It was mechanical pretty neglected. I did the vanos, clutch, detent springs and av he minor things back when I bought it. My favorite car ever!Comment

I put 30k on mine in the first three years of ownership and less than 4,000 in the last two years lol. The F80 is just so easy to get in and go (and is easy mode for driving like a lunatic).
