Toll Roll Bag for CSL Trunk conversion

Just drill a hole in the trunk and run the oe carpet liner with tool tray. Done. Dont see why people make a big fuss about this when you're getting the trunk painted anyways...

I just want it to be neater, cleaner etc....

Sounds like you want to keep the OE tools, so what I have in my car might not be what you're looking for, but here it is anyway.



Ignore the exposed vincebar, still working on getting everything put back together and painted.

I made slots/holes for the following in the styrofoam thing:

-Socket set
-3/8" extension
-3/8" to 1/2" adapter
-3/8" to 1/4" adapter
-Philips screwdriver
-3/8" ratchet
-Spark plug socket
-Wheel bolt socket
-Two small flathead screwdrivers
-Couple bungee cords
-Front plate on tow hook mount

Then I cut out two rectangles in the foam piece and glued both a hex socket set and a torx socket set to them so they don't rattle around. Also stuck a flashlight and extendable magnet (to get spark plugs in/out) onto the chassis rails.

With all this I can fix a ton of things on the side of the road.

I usually bring a tool bag on road trips, but this is genius and purposeful 👏

If i'm not mistaken, I used an xacto knife and a drill (and a good amount of patience). Cuts aren't perfect, but they work just fine. I can imagine that one of those high temp styrofoam cutters would be ideal for getting some nice, clean cuts.

Also, highly recommend getting tool sets that don't rattle when shaken. Those cheap sets I put in my trunk rattle a bunch and it's been driving me crazy lately. I'm gonna try stuffing them with a bunch of foam to see if that helps.
