Bgexpress thank you for the steering wheel recommendation. I ordered mine last week from the same guy in Poland and it arrived one week later.

The leather was grainy but more rubbery looking and not matching OE and the stitching was off (o'clock position of where separate parts are stitched together was totally wrong). I've searched far and wide and have not been successful in finding anyone who uses OE leather, exact stitching points, etc. I also needed a new lower trim which is expensive as well so I decided to get a brand new OE wheel from BMW. No regrets - looks and feels perfect and should last a very long time with proper care.

My advice - if you want an OE looking wheel and need a new trim, get OE BMW before it's NLA. With how expensive these aftermarket recovered wheels have gotten, and the lower trim price if bought separately, it really makes no sense to go with anything other than a complete new OE wheel, IMO. You can recover some of the money by selling your existing wheel for someone to use as a core for refinishing.

      Cheers
So why not use Coby wheel? If you don't return your core you get the new wheel for ~$550, whereas a new OE wheel is ~$900. Is it because the re-wrap service doesn't include any upper or lower trim and the new OE wheel includes both, and retains the OE grain vs smooth leather of all the re-wraps?

Just received and installed the same wheel from Remilux1 on eBay,
Could not be happier with the craftsmanship. For the price you really can't beat it. The seams and everything is just spot on.

Glad you both are happy with the quality! It really makes a big difference in the driving experience having a fresh wheel

Like I said, I'm super happy with it and if anyone is interested in a wheel, Remilux1 off eBay is a pretty good option. I paid $350 plus shipping and it arrived in about a week from Poland to Michigan.

I finally got around to having my new steering wheel installed today. The thickness is similar to OEM feel. What an upgrade! I loved my alcantara wheel but it really made the interior look aged once it started wearing out.

Looks good. Is it just me or are the lower seams closer together than stock?

I can't get behind leather man as I'm an alcantara guy. I may cop a leather one for legacy purposes though .

Did you order right through Ebay? I shot him an Ebay message + email to no avail to see if he will have any plain nappa with M stitching any time soon. (I hate perforated leather)

Yes I ordered through eBay. I had the same problem. He didn’t have any in stock and when he did I didn’t like the imperfections on the actual wheel itself. I waited for them to post another one that I was happy with and then I placed my order.
