      Square 275's on 18 x 9.5 for dry track
Square 245's on 18 x 9 for street (which I also use for wet track)

Montreal is un-drivable in a lowered car. It would be a Grand Tour special it's that bad.

Parking also sucks. I've never driven my car there but I would hate to gain the imprint of someone's license plate on my pristine rear bumper

To revive this thread…anyone on 9.5J Comp/CSL Square setup? What do you run? 235?

I have currently 255/35 Michelins as square setup (9.5J et27) and get hard rubbing on full lock at the inner plastic wheelhouse. Coilover/camber+caster plates are installed but there is no possible setting without rubbing on full lock.

              …under construction.

                You mean 265?

Don't go any narrower than 255 on a 9.5" wheel. People fit 9.5et22 with 265 tire and -3 camber all the time. Et27 would be even easier to fit.

The 35 section height is your problem. On a 19, it needs to be 30 and on an 18, it needs to be 35 to not rub on the inner and outer fender liner for most tires. Square 9.5 should be 265/30/19 or 265/35/18.

To be fair, 255/35/19 IS the stock tire size (for rear)

He's asking about a square setup, not stock fitment staggered for the rear.

                        Obviously.

Doesn't change the fact that 255/35/19 is a stock tire size on a 9.5" wide wheel. I think it should fit. He prob needs more camber. Yes, a 265/30/19 is slightly smaller.

That tire will not work for the problem he is having - "get hard rubbing on full lock at the inner plastic wheelhouse." The issue is not the width of the wheel and the tire.

He can try a 3mm or 5mm spacer.

Tried from 1 to 5° camber to check if it makes a difference, even played with caster. But nothing helped.
when I add a spacer, it will get even worser because the tire edge will be more pushed into the the plastic on full lock.

I will try a 245/35 next, maybe the problem is the Michelin tire with its very wide edge compared to Falken or other tire brands.

I would try 265/30/19 which is the proper tire size for 9.5" (CSL wheel) rather than 245.
