    Question about car long-term storage

Work is sending me out to a 6 month training course and I’ll be away from home the entire time. Was in the middle of some work on the M3 and it’s up on quick jacks.

Is there any concern with leaving the car up on quick jacks for the next several months? Am I going to stress any suspension components with the wheels at full droop that long?

    Any advice is appreciated!

Will be fine, if you really want to reduce any possible stress take the wheels off.

Good call, I might do that. Thanks!

Take the battery off and put it on a tender. Top off gas, or put stabilizer in. Make sure there are no critters in the garage - stuff some old rugs in exhausts. Leave a small crack for air to circulate inside the car. Change the oil after you are back.

          ^ This!

And if you have an open airbox like a CSL style box, consider more old rugs for that as well to avoid air filter damage from said critters!

And if you stuff rags/towels/whatever, make a damn checklist to remove it later!

Yeah put a big pink neon sign on your steering wheel that lists exactly what you did so you don't forget when you're back.

Ha, I stored my car for 1.5 years and upon first startup it ran reeeaaaally rough. Thought it was bad gas, turns out I just forget to remove the "butt plug". Took the plastic bags I stuffed up the pipes out and all was well
