For an SMG car, OE SACHS or LUK

      Not very common.

One advantage of a rebuild is the driveshaft is dynamically balanced. I would say that you can get a rebuilt unit for about the same price as replacing all of the consumables and the rebuilds come with a 12 month warranty.

I haven't messed with the DS in the past beyond replacing the Guibo/csb, but my CV seal has taken a dump. Best bet to just pick up a rebuilt unit over chancing the CV replacement?
CSB and Guibo could be done again I suppose, it's been about 30k miles since last service.

I’d check the CV. Probably can just repack with grease and install a new gasket.

Driveshaft vibrations come from 4 possible sources, really - CSB, Giubo, U-joints, and diff CV. The first two easy to replace and should be at that point anyway, and the other two are pretty easy to isolate and diagnose.
