    Slonik's E46 M3

    Hello again!

    i'm an owner of my M3 from 2012 February. its my first BMW, so i'm young enough in the BMW world. same time, i prefer to "fall in love" totally, so diving to the deepest level is my case

    i had purchased it with 113000km.

    first few years i have used it like daily driven and then, it had some break on about 165000km - i was in situation, when needed to choose between my work (business) and my car, so i'd prefer to choose the work, and to "freeze" it for some time. first 2 years it was almost without updates and then during 2 years total rebuild and a lot of improvements, with underbody restoration and respraying, overall top quality chassis respraying, suspension works, fully engine build etc etc.
    its a long story, and i don't want to spend all time to write the story in the right sequence, so i'd write present spec list, and maybe will write some separate posts on some themes.

    from 2018, i had 2.5 seasons of use so now it has about 180k km on dash.

    this season, i had so much work, that had no time simply finish front end respraying anyway, i'm not disappointed a lot, cause even if i did it, i had no time to ride a lot.


    so, lets begin

    engine:
    stock cylinder block, overbored +0.25 (powder coated in matte black).
    mahle motorsport pistons, oem CR.
    arp bolts on stock rods
    ACL HX bearings
    new oem crankshaft
    all other factory stuff new - oil pump etc.
    ported cylinder head (in-house)
    schrick camshafts 288/280
    DLC coated schrick rockers
    overbored to 52mm throttle bodies (in-house)
    supersprint v2 stepped headers (63.5mm).
    overdrive pulley (in-house)
    AC delete
    aluminum flywheel with DCT hub (in-house)
    mechanical fan delete (one SPAL slim)
    CSL style carbon fiber intake (in-house)

    exhaust:
    custom welded SS 63.5x2 straight pipe with
    2x e92m3 hamann mufflers.


    transmission:
    DCT swap (e8x, e9x close ratio version), fully in-house.
    3.62 final drive

    suspension:
    KW Competition 2way, upside down front.
    front and rear top mounts (in-house)
    powerflex black series bushings
    rear camber arms (in-house)
    rear subframe aluminum bushings (in-house)

    brakes:
    brembo based kit (in-house)
    6 piston front
    380x34 two-piece floating rotors
    4 piston rear
    380x28 two-piece floating rotors

    wheels:
    two sets of apex ec-7, 18x9.5 et35 and 18x10 et25.
    apex wheel studs.

    exterior:
    carbon fiber CSL style boot lid (in-house) 3.4kg/7.5lb
    carbon fiber roof (in-house) 3.2kg/7lb
    carbon fiber front fenders (in-house) 850g/1.87lb per piece
    carbon fiber hood (in-house) 5.4kg/11.9lb
    carbon fiber strengthening wall 1.7kg/3.67lb

    interior
    recaro profi spa driver seat
    recaro profi spg passenger seat
    both on our own cnc machined mounts, drivers - fixed, passenger with double-sided sliders.
    weight drop more than 40kg.

    6-point OMP harness.
    OMP corsica steering wheel with CNC machined paddle shifters (in-house).


    398 flywheel hp on dyno.
    and 1360kg last time, if i remember correct.

                  i was tried to make it streetable. so it's on the bucket seats with harness, but other oem stuff on their places.
                  even rear seats - i'm removing them during track days, but same time i can put them back, to make some drive with my son .
                  (by the way, anybody know any kids seats, which could be installed into recaro spg?).

                  i have only few weight cheats inside - inner chassis insulate removed and all the trim on the floor then came back.
                  and my car still have harman kardon audio . yeah, i've delete cd changer, but instead of it i've connect media bridge for bluetooth usb connection.

                      some DCT swap pics.
                      all custom parts of course made in my workshop. i've tried to make this swap more factory style, but anyway, it needs in some custom parts, like N-series engine starter spacer, or like transmission brace, or even small spacer for throttle bodies position sensor to upside down it for better clearance.

                          welded it myself ahahahah . not often doing this.
                          and it was made good weight loss - if i remember correct, its about 25kg on all exhaust except supersprint headers.

                            Our guys made test fitment of our carbon fiber parts for the front end, to check body panels gaps. all parts were raw, like it went from the molds, without primer, lacquer etc.
                            we've planned to check fitment and remove them for respraying, but pandemic made some changes previous season and our partnerships body workshop was closed for a few months.
                            so my car was like test mule and those few rides i made during months were on that batmobile
