It is absurd how much more I like this car with the 6mt. I never really was overly enthused with the e60M driving experience in SMG. I kind of love it now. As in, on the street, I think I like driving it as much as the e46-- which is not something I've been able to say about any car before.

Interesting, we've done the S85 (OE) and S65 (SPEC) kits, but not an OE S65. Seems people do the S65 often, curious to hear your issues.

Did you buy a BMW flywheel and an LuK S85 kit or all BMW?

There were 3 dowel pins on the M3 flywheel that did not line up with the M5 pressure plate.

Ahh that makes sense, did y'all not try the S65 clutch and pressure plate or just switch over to the S85 flywheel at that point?

At that point, didn't see any reason to screw around with it and just went all S85 parts.

With the 6mt and shorter rear end, it feel shockingly like a grown up/out e46 M3.

... which is probably why I'm loving it so much more than I expected to.

Would recommend. New owner did all the things I still wanted to do it it and has kept in great shape.
