New design language will be the end of me buying new BMWs, and I'm not the only one. Whether BMW can afford to loose their long-time core customers, chasing Asian markets with idiotic designs is yet to be seen. Sales of new BMWs are down 15.3% in Q1, 39.3 decrease in Q2, and again down 16.2% in Q3. Ding-ding-ding.
Yes agreed. I'd go Audi or Benz before I buy a new BMW.

Once I get my hands on a E60 M5 and E39 M5 I will be done with BMW.

To take the conversation a slightly different direction what are examples of well designed coupes and sedans that are currently in production?

As much as i dislike the front grills, the Euro license plate kinda separates the huge grills and makes it look more appealing that the U.S no front license plate.

Umm, Aston DB11/Vantage, Porsche 911 GT3, Volvo Polestar, AMG GT Coupe, Lamborghini Hurracan, McLaren P1, I can go on. New BMW M5 is actually a wonderful design, so you know they can do it right.

I guess I should have clarified my request. Cars in a similar price range to the M3 or M4. Say under 90k MSRP. What you listed are really high dollar cars/semi exotics, except for the Volvo.

The thing I miss most is that m cars always have a smile or a frown. They have a... mouth.

This thing just has a big nose

OK, fair. Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio, Porsche Cayman, Audi RS6, Infiniti Q60, Jaguar F-Type, again, I can continue. All of these are under $90k and I would pick any of these over new M3/4 without even thinking.

BMW should have hired Chip Foose.

I'd take a base model 911 over an M4 any day. Could get a Panamera Turbo and keep function while being faster in every way.

I do not like his version either. Just to much going on on that bumper...

I can confirm the new M4 is uglier in person.
