So I have a few questions on how all of this works or supposed to work.
On my 6-speed manual transmission s54 car with mk60. I have my tune file set using ecuworx and raised the dyno rev limit to match the standard rev limit of 8k
When I went to dyno my car couple years ago, even though I have that set in the tune file, I am able to hit that rev. Limit but it still trips out. The mk60 system with ABS trifecta lights
Is that pretty much how it's supposed to work? That's the expectation?
I'm curious because on my SMG mk60 wagon I also have the Dyno rev. Limit set to match 8000 RPMs and I want to hit the dyno soon but I remember my friend who has a ZCP comp SMG car .. I said his tune file to match 8000 RPMs for the Dyna rev limit and it didn't work for him. He got the trifecta and it was hitting the lower rev limit cut off so he gave up
I'm wondering if I'm going to experience the same issue on my SMG car or if there's something else going on.
I see other websites talk about a dyno mode where you do a key combination between ignition 2 and the sport button 8 to 10 seconds etc etc...
I don't even know how you're supposed to verify that that works or not
Is the dyno mode key combination supposed to be set regardless, even if you have the dyno rev limit set in the tune file to be higher
