Yep, there are a bunch o Superlite cali's. The problem will be that you will need new ss lines up front, your current ones are not plug n play, then you will need an 90 deg fitting that screws into the cali and the ss line goes to that. the biggest issue is the fact that the superlights do not bolt right up to factory holes. The UUC kit comes with an adapter piece. YOU WILL NEED THIS. If you have CAD experience, you can draw your own and have a machine shop cut it. It you want to give it a try,

    the wilwood #'s are 120 747 R

These can be purchased from http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?

    Hoerr Racing Parts

These guys are freakin great guys! The guy who started this co is Irv Hoerr. He was a Trans-Am and IMSA champ several times and a all around great guy. They are close family friends. His son in law Jason is the guy to talk to. He currently runs the place. Their # is 866-851-race.

If you cannot find a place to do the bracket, I could take off mine and see if I can get some turned out here in Chicago. If others are interested, I could see if we could get a kit put together. I prolly could get the calipers cheaper if there were several wanting this setup.

i have a potential source for these too I can check into if anyone wants to go that route.

best price I found was $148/piece. Can you beat that?

Also, the wilwood PN doesn't come up on hpr website. What the piece price on each of the calipers? Do you know anyone with the brackets?

Their cross compatibility chart only shows the 6 pot SL6 calipers being compatible with our spindles :hmm:

      EDIT:

      Ok. found this: http://www.wilwood.com/PDF/fl120.pdf

The calipers are only $170/piece :bugeye:

Can someone verify that these will work with the euro 325mmx28mm rotor?

I know this is thread is going a different direction, but wanted to share my experience with the 996tt brakes, specifically. Car is a modded 2001 Trans Am. 420rwhp/385rwtq, full weight (3700 race weight), 315/35/17's on all four corners, full suspension etc. It would destroy both stock F-body rotors and later C5 rotors literally in one day of open tracking at Motorsport Ranch. I was taking two pairs of spare rotors and a set of spare pads to make sure it made it through the weekend.

Swapped out the C5 brakes for 996tt brakes using a no-longer-sold kit. It uses redrilled Porsche rotors, which weigh a ton, are not floating or one piece. However they are indestructible. This is 3 or 4 weekends on a road course, a couple BBORR's, >10k street miles and they appear to have 5 or 6 weekends left. Just the hassle of not having to work on the car is worth it, but it won't take terribly long to be in the green financially. Seriously. Switching to Castrol $RF at the same time has made for nearly maintenance free brakes.

Our brakes can lock up a 245 Start Spec, more than adequate. Buy some Brembo blanks/slotted rotors and PFC01 pads and the stopping power will rip your face off.

I don't want that, that sounds unpleasant

much more than that. But you're still missing the point.

not really... he wants upgraded brakes....

a proper OEM setup with SS lines, ate blue fluid (or better), and quality pads will be MORE than enough for his needs...

even my wilwoods are probably more than what I need. I could of gotten away with just putting in some ducting on my oem setup, and been golden

I like where your going with this. +1 on his question..... Although a phone call to the company will give you the answer, knowing the rotor size and all

Look on UUC's website. Their Wilwood kit isn't too far out of your price range.

I will have to chech prices on the rotors on Monday, as my parts connection is closed for the weekend. I will get back to you.

As for the brackets, no I do not have spares, but I think that it would not be too hard to fab some up.

If you want a hand with what you will need, hit me up on a pm sometime.

OK, so on that list, pretty much any of those that allow a 1.10" rotor thickness (28mm) are good. The next option then is piston bore size? I will very nobly admit that I am COMPLETELY clueless to how bore size relates to braking performance. Which bore is the best size for our application?

What is it about these calipers that requires them to have special bracket? Is it the 3.5" mount center? How big is the mount center on the stock m3 spindles?

piston bore size, and the reference of their area vs the area of the bore size on the stock M3 piston is what changes the effeciency of the master cylinder, and why many of the BBK kits claim they wont change brake bias front to rear with only a front BBK install..

They have done the testing and calculations, to make sure when you press the brake pedal, and the master cylinder presses the pistons in the caliper, that they are still delivering the same amount of force, just to 4 piston's, instead of 2.

As you change the BBK piston sizes, that bias could change obviously

I like this idea but I want it on our standard size rotors...I just paid $200 for $700 rotors and don't want to change, rotora has an option but very pricey!!

AP's BBK uses the stock rear rotor, but it's not cheap at all.
