Anyone have this issue and know a fix? Driver bolster has a good 1” of space. But passenger bolster is rubbing on the console creating creaking noises on the slightest road imperfections. Thanks in advance

Man ive been chasing this one for years with no luck. I even undid all the rail bolts and made sure the seat was shifted as far away as possible and it didnt do shit. Theres no way these came from the assembly line creaking like this. Or is there? Lol2002 TiAg M3 Coupe (SMG to 6spd), 2003 Jet Black M5

There's some adjustment built into the center console.
Remove the shift boot/smg surround and loosen the two screws that hold the shifter trim and center console in place. Then remove your rear ashtray and you'll find two screws. Your console will either have slots or a couple holes that those screws go through (depends on whether you have an armrest or not) so that you can adjust the fitment. Adjust it, tighten everything back down and you should be good to go.2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - SSV1 - HJS - Mullet Tune - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal

If you have the adjustable side bolstering, tighten it up till no contact.

The short center console is definitely slotted though:
Maybe you could make your own slots? Although, now that I think about it, you would need to find a way to move the armrest along with the center console.2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - SSV1 - HJS - Mullet Tune - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal
