Thank you! That makes total sense.

Has anyone successfully installed a Bluebus module without having the pre-wiring for a CD changer? I have torn my entire trunk apart and now realizing my Canadian M3 is not pre-wired.

        Hey everyone !

I'd like to buy a Bluebus adapter for my car with the telephone cable but I am not sure of what phone adapter to buy ?
I looked in the trunk but did not find any connector as described on the bluebus website.
Here are a couple of pictures of the electronics in the trunk.
Is there anyone knowledgeable that could tell me what phone cable adapter I need ?

im sure tedbm3 will chime in but your car is the exact same as mine (euro spec) You plug the Bluebus into the CD changer connectors. You cannot use the CD Changer after that.

Thank you for your answer ! I'll wait for more details
When you use the CD changer connector, does a phone call still take priority when listening to the radio ? Is there any drawback ?
I'm kind of sad to loose the CD changer, it's kind of vintage and fun. I like my tape deck behind the nav screen too lol.

Yes I am sure you and I have the exact same optioned car, basically fully loaded. It'll work perfectly fine.

Happy to lose the cd changer lol

As above the CD changer is disconnected and can be removed. There's a 6 pin and a 3 pin connector for. That's for just music playback and control - no phone functionality.

The top module is the ULF or TCU (Bluetooth). You'll need a cable to adapt from that 54 pin connector to the BlueBus.

                  Thanks for your help !
I still somehow cannot figure out exactly what I need to order.
Do I simply need a Bluebus and this on top of it :
                  54-Pin Adapter Quantity ($33)

                  Correct ?

                  Thanks again. Florian.

I just installed mine today and it is normal to show CD 7-01 periodically when you push the numbers or change a track?

Yeah I went back to first page and saw someone asked the same question years ago. Haha. Appreciate the response though.
