I'm just happy they are still available to buy new. And reasonably cheap as well. Try source anything interior-wise for E39M5 my friend. Hens teeth.

Kind of an old thread, but bringing this one back. Anyone know how UV resistant the material from Veteranco/other "OEM" sources are? Seems like Veteranco's website is dead, but found this one: https://www.europeanautointeriors.co...MW&item=BM3109

The black alcantara I wrapped mine with 3 years ago is getting faded. This time around I want it to match the headliner, but want to ensure it's actually same as OEM and won't fade in a handful of years as well

I was looking at this a few days ago since my headliner just started sagging

As far as I could tell veteranco's new website is https://www.cartopsplus.com/

and BM134 is here: https://www.cartopsplus.com/Automoti...oth-Headlining have to select black BM134 from the colour drop down menu.

A third generation supplier dedicated to providing the highest quality automotive interior textiles. With direct ties to European OEM manufacturers of leather, vinyl, carpet, cloth and headlining, we have access to all original interior products for most European brands.

These guys have BM134 in stock. I bought from them before, no issues.

How many yards do you think one would need to do ABC pillars?

My understanding was 134 had a thicker foam backing for headliner and 3109 is the same material but thinner/felt backed so you can use it to wrap trim panels.

That was my understanding too. I did my A and C pillars with 2 yards, but was not very efficient with the material at all. 3 yards would definitely do it I think, not sure if you can buy half yards

You guys have a LOT more motivation than I do, I just ordered an all new euro headliner and all new pillars. Very happy I did, everything looks perfect. This would definitely save some coin though. Just be careful with the 20 year old plastics as they break easily

2 yards is enough for the headliner. With the pillars, I'd seriously consider just getting all new pieces. Wrapping B pillars is a job and a half, and don't even get me started on the A-pillars with their stupid HPS strips.

Cheapest way to get a new headliner to NZ is 1600usd from schmiedmann.

Recovering the headliner with new fabric is maybe 350usd after labour. Gotta pick your battles. Probably cheaper for you guys based in US to buy new, if it was the difference of a couple hundred then I'd just buy new.

Turner / ECS was shipping a kit that had mismatching ABC trim panels last year. Did you get a kit that matched?

Just an FYI, The BM3109 for the pillars is quite a bit thicker than the OE material. It is hard to work with and is not very stretchable. I would suggest new pillars if possible while they are available.

I actually ordered my stuff from my local dealership as their prices were significantly better than ECS and ECS was backordered on the euro headliner. Received them last week and finally installed this past weekend, I didn't notice them not matching but I didn't lay everything out side by side under a light either

Also FYI for those of us in LA, Veteran Co is indeed still open and you can just go and buy the fabric in person. They have shit loads of it.
