Nice! Mine is an 05.Originally posted by Slicktop View Post
Another Mystic Slicktop! Awesome. Mine is an 06 Original 6 speed on black manual seats
Any of the blues on MTex was a dream spec for me. Luckily one popped up locally. It needed a ton of maintenance on it though, so I almost didn't buy it... Almost.
The slicktop was just a bonus!

It's kinda like Phoenix yellow - the first time I saw it, all I saw was "baby shit". Now I freaking love it and would kill for one!

Mine is going through a major refresh right now including the rod bearings and subframe being done. I drove it 30k miles bone stock without issues and now taking time to perfect it.Originally posted by tcp View Post

Have the seats made. I wanted green leather in my OG and now i have it. It wasnt cheap, but it wasnt as much as a csl airbox eitherOriginally posted by Thoglan View PostOG on Mtex is my ultimate dream spec. But seeing as there were 10 in the world and 4 of them RHD, I think my chances are low.

Interesting. Have any pics?Originally posted by Kcalhoun27 View PostI wanted green leather in my OG and now i have it.
Also, redoing an interior in M texture is really expensive. Just buying enough reproduction fabric to cover everything comes out to ~$1200. That, plus labor, will definitely end up costing more than a CSL airbox.2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - SSV1 - HJS - Mullet Tune - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal

i wanted the impulse cloth as im not a fan of alcantara, but i didnt think it looked as good as the (not period correct but still awesome) m-cloth that i used. Im very happy with it, so i got what i wanted. I also converted to manual bases as well. I only did the front seats and deleted the rear. Also swapped the boots to green leather to match. Pics dont really do it justice, its gorgeous in person. I had swatches of black and green leather, and then various m-cloths to see it in person in the sun and in the shade.
im undecided on the doorcards, because i like the black, it fades away next to the seats
you could do it all at once or piece meal. I dont know what a full interior would cost, but these seats were less than an airbox.

The clockspring is the same on all chassis - just the steering wheel trim and buttons are different. Not sure if all the buttons work - such as cruise control - but I think so. Perhaps somebody else knows....Originally posted by Advorsor View PostMines a ‘05 ZCP and I have a question.
If I get a clockspring from a pre-2005 M3/3series, can I get the multi-function buttons to work on the ‘05 ZCP chassis?

BMW sells a retrofit kit — wiring changes are needed. I just ripped the one that came on my car from the PO out because I wanted the one button wheel. IIRC one wire runs to the DME under the lower dash and a couple connect to the LCM.Originally posted by liam821 View Post

Maybe im a little biased becouse ive got a IB car, but the color made me to pull the trigger on this car. i was looking for AW only car witch i lust for even now having the "uber spec" m3
in my opinion 3 best colors for e46 is AW / IB / LSB
and i have a topas 330 witch is a washed out darkish blue, and a avus alpina b3s

Yes, instructions are out there on the Net. Some purchase an E39 turn stalk and use that switch for the M Mode. It's on my list but the wiring is above my pay grade and not anxious to pay someone else to do it.can I get the multi-function buttons to work on the ‘05 ZCP chassis?Interlagos 06 M3, Autologic tune, Agency Power midpipes/exhaust, Fortune Auto coilovers, UUC SSK, Bluebus, Lightwerkz retrofit. I had a ZCP and currently have a non-ZCP Alpine White slicktop. Definitely think the steering rack, Interlagos Blue and brakes are worth it. Yes, you can easily install brakes and steering rack on a non-ZCP model but thats not the point, you can build a CSL replicate but it will not be a CSL.

It's incredible that fifteen years later people still think zcp is a special model. The P stands for package, it literally has five off the shelf parts added to it whereas a csl has an entire catalog of a hundred bespoke parts specifically designed, engineered and manufactured for it.2003.5 MT JB/B - CSL SCHRICK SUPERSPRINT EISENMANN JRZ SWIFT MILLWAY APR ENDLESS BBS/SSR DREXLER KMP SACHS RECARO AR SLON MKRS GSP DMG KARBONIUS CP AUTOSOLUTIONS KOYO
