    Pros - none
Cons - rust, cost, waste of time

    Keep the heatshields in place.

            Thoughts on ceramic coating?
            Old, not obsolete.

Maybe a high heat temp paint would be a better recommendation?

I wouldn’t want to add anything to the headers that would cause them to operate outside the manufacturers standards. If im not mistaking, ceramic coats and heat wraps make the headers internal temp hotter. How hot can they get before they deteriorate in some fashion? I’d rather not find out

Many are glorified paint but still do look nice. Need to get the good stuff that goes on a fair bit thicker for proper thermal management e.g. swaintech

I don't understand why people have the desire to waste their money on stuff like this.

Seems like a good way to keep moisture close to the pipes so they get nice and rusty

They'll also be great at absorbing (inevitably spilled) engine oil and setting your car on fire once the headers get up to temp

Ceramic coating covers the inside and outside of the pipe keeping the metal of the header cooler and carrying heat further back out the exhaust. Keeping under bonnet temps cooler. Ceramic coating is a winner. Wrapping in heat tape is bad. Its not a new concept.

I had my Euro headers ceramic coated. Definitely better than header wrap which will eventually fall apart.

Ceramic coats and wraps seem completely unnecessary. Snake oil, on the other hand, totally legit.
