Help identify these rivets, if they are really rivets?

    Hello,

Hoping there are some folks knowledgeable on rivets, if they are really rivets.

What are these? Rivets? And what sort of rivets that i might do the same?

    Thanks.

If you didnt want to use them, you could also use binding screws. Youd have to use locktite so they didnt separate and fall into the intake, but it would be a bit easier than drilling out a rivet.

They look like Ace Hardware specials. If you ever have to take it apart I'd go with something less permanent.

You could even get some of the plastic push pins that hold the radiator ducting and use those to join the two pieces. Less permanent and will look more oem. 17111712963

They'll stick out and obstruct air flow a bit but, eh, it's supercharged so probably won't make a difference

You could also pop some poly rivnuts in the right side piece, drill some holes in the suction hood (air duct) and use flanged screws to hold it together (surfaces not gonna be perfectly flush though).

Version 2 came out not too bad...

Used the suggested OEM plastic push pins for OEM look
